Our History

Super Dog Walking started with just one dog. Owner and primary manager Dana Palmer was working as a social worker and relished the time she was able to spend with her dog Buddy before and after work. After a few years of practicing social work she began to realize the time she was spending outdoors with Buddy was her favorite part of her day. A neighbor noticed her regularly scheduled walks with Buddy and asked if her dog could join them. Soon Dana was walking a few more dogs on the street and shortly after that made the decision to leave social work and dedicate her caring, nurturing tendencies to animals full time.

“I love dogs so much and they give so much back to me. I know it was a great decision and five years later I can’t imagine myself in any other profession,” says Dana of her transition.

Super Dog Walking has grown from that one dog into a thriving small business focused on quality above everything else. Quality means safety, health and well-being for all those involved with Super Dog Walking. Quality also means open lines of communication, personal service, attention to detail and maintaining our commitment. We understand how valuable your dogs are to you because we feel the exact same way you do. We truly love dogs and love working with them.

Greta M. said on YELP, “Dana’s history as a social worker is indicative of her caring nature and ability to multi-task.  She has also done a great job of hiring and maintaining employees.”

As we continue to grow, we will continue to absorb the lessons we have learned in the last five years of quality, trusted service. Dana moved from Ukrainian Village to Bucktown a few years back but still has plenty of dog friends in that area. Contact us today to meet Dana and her crew of great walkers!
